Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of QuickEasyTax, operated by Acciom Limited ("we", "us", "QuickEasyTax"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Service description
QuickEasyTax is HMRC-recognised tax filing and bookkeeping software for UK limited companies and sole traders. The service allows you to manage bookkeeping, create invoices, submit VAT returns under Making Tax Digital (MTD), file CT600 corporation tax returns, and submit MTD ITSA quarterly updates and final declarations directly to HMRC.
QuickEasyTax is filing software, not tax advice.
We file what your data says. We do not provide tax advice, tax planning recommendations, or opinions on your tax position. If you need tax advice, consult a qualified accountant or tax adviser.
2. User responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of all data you enter into QuickEasyTax. We submit to HMRC what you review and approve — if your income figures are wrong, your submission will be wrong. You are responsible for ensuring all submitted data is accurate, complete, and in compliance with HMRC requirements.
You must be authorised to act on behalf of the company or business for which you are filing. By connecting your HMRC credentials via OAuth, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
You must keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
3. What we are not
QuickEasyTax is not an accountant, tax adviser, financial adviser, or legal adviser. We are a software provider. We do not review your tax position for accuracy, advise on tax planning, or provide any regulated financial or legal service. Nothing in the app constitutes tax advice.
We are not responsible for HMRC decisions, penalties, or interest arising from submissions made through the platform — whether caused by inaccurate data you provided, changes in tax law, or HMRC errors.
4. Subscription and billing
QuickEasyTax is offered on a subscription basis at £12.50/month per company (or £125/year). All new accounts receive a 21-day free trial with full access — no payment card required to start.
After the trial period, a subscription is required to submit to HMRC, add transactions, or create invoices. You may continue to read and export your existing data on a lapsed account.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods, except within 14 days of first subscribing where no HMRC submissions have been made.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Prices are in GBP and inclusive of VAT where applicable.
5. Data ownership
You own your data. We process it to provide the service. You can export all your data at any time from Settings → Data. See our Privacy Policy for full details of how we handle your data.
By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process your data as necessary to provide the service — including sending it to HMRC and TrueLayer on your behalf as authorised.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use QuickEasyTax to:
- Submit false or fraudulent information to HMRC.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any HMRC API or other user's data.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our code or algorithms.
- Use the service on behalf of a company or business you are not authorised to act for.
- Circumvent our subscription system or fair-use limits.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Acciom Limited is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of QuickEasyTax — including but not limited to HMRC penalties, tax underpayments, interest charges, or losses arising from inaccurate submissions.
Our total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total subscription fees you paid to us in that period.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes to the service
We may update these Terms or the service at any time. We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these Terms. Following termination, financial records are retained for 7 years per HMRC requirements; all other personal data is deleted within 30 days.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
